Mikell’s Plot is a five-piece high-energy performance band with a Punk, Blues, Hard-Rock and Heavy- Metal style. The band was “discovered” in 2004 by Christian Treiber of Dreamscape Records who distributed Mikell’s Plot’s first CD in 2005 with its title song “Monster on My Wall” being voted first prize for the Best Punk Song by audiences from www.ourstage.com and was also chosen number one in the Blues category for the follow-on song “Just Show Me Funk 50.” Their 2009 CD release is titled “I Remember” with the band’s most recently self-titled five-song EP-CD on the Victory Music Buzz label. A live in-studio performance of the EP’s first track, “72 Missed Calls” was featured on the Bridgeside Live 24/7 streaming video channel.




Current Members

Michael O’Connor

The current members of Mikell’s Plot all hail from New Jersey, including founding member and lead vocalist Michael O’Connor of Sayreville. O’Connor formed the band in 1998 when he published his song “Monster On My Wall.” He credits influences such as The Ramones, Black Sabbath and AC/DC for the high energy Rock ‘n Roll feel the band’s music exudes.

George Rivera

Fellow co-founding member and guitarist and back up vocalist George Rivera of Jersey City has many credits to his musical career, including playing guitar for his band Rene who opened for Scandal with Patty Smyth.

Pete Mongiello

Lead guitarist and backing vocalist Pete Mongiello is from Springfield and has a long career in music including as a member of many successful bands including Checkered Past and Savage Mistress. Pete also currently plays with Dina Leger in their duo “Pandora Spocks.”

Cathy Berg

Bassist and back up vocalist Cathy Berg from North Brunswick is a veteran of the NJ/NYC punk scene as both a drummer and bassist; most notably drummer for The Lost Cause. The Lost Cause opened for David Johansen of the New York Dolls, Walter Lure, guitarist for Johnny Thunders, Slaughter & The Dogs and Sonny Vincent. She also drums for the Devil’s Bubblegum and is bassist for Glenn Garr & The Last Chances.

Eddie “Elf’ Piotrowski

Drummer Eddie “Elf’ Piotrowski from Edison is a veteran of the music scene in New Jersey. The Elf is famous for his “Giant Drum Set” featured in the May 2018 edition of Modern Drummer magazine and a song he co-wrote, “Go Go Getter” featured in the film “The Dirt” about Motley Crue.
